Welcome to the team Olivia Potter
2 Mar 2022
We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our design team, Olivia Potter.
Joining our Hobart office, Olivia brings with her a wide range of design experience having previously worked on projects in the residential, commercial, transport, health, and sport sectors in Victoria.
During her studies at the University of Melbourne’s School of design, where she received the Bates Smart Medal for her master’s project, Oliva worked alongside local architects on several small and large scale designs — such as the Ian Potter Southbank Centre project for the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. More recently, Olivia has been part of the design team for the new $1.5 billion Footscray Hospital in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
As a designer, Olivia thinks about the intersection between architecture and sustainability knowledge, exploring a site’s particular ecosystem and cultural history, and how that can ultimately help create designs that foster deeper relationships between people and the built and natural environments.
Drawing on places like the Miho Museum in Japan, built on a dramatic mountainside in a nature preserve near Kyoto, inspire Olivia to pursue designs that can have a lasting impact on people long before they step inside the space.
Welcome to the team Olivia.
