Cumulus worked with Mondelez International on concepts for the redevelopment of “The Dairy”, a historically significant warehouse which was one of the first buildings that form what is now the Cadbury Factory site. The building is in a state of neglect having been deserted for numerous years and it is currently unused.

The project aims to re-imagine the warehouse as the new Cadbury World – a Visitor Experience, Retail Space and chocolate themed Cafe – which will become a “spiritual home” for Cadbury in New Zealand.

The design utilises both the industrial nature of the building as well as equipment from the factory to recreate replacement “factory-like” space for visitors to discover the Cadbury story and chocolate making process. New but contrasting way-finding and interpretation are woven through the spaces to guide the visitor.
