Kylie Harvey

Graduate of Architecture

Dip.Bus, Dip.ArchTech, B.BEnv (Arch), M.Arch

Launceston Studio

Kylie completed her Master of Architecture in 2021 at the University of Tasmania, receiving the university’s top graduate award at the culmination of her studies. Based in Cumulus’ Launceston office, her varied professional background includes extensive experience as a building designer, working on projects of varying scales in the residential and commercial sectors in New South Wales and Tasmania.

As a designer at Cumulus, Kylie has collaborated on several residential and education projects across Tasmania, including Legana Primary School in the state’s north.

Kylie’s pragmatic approach to architecture is complemented by her considered use of quality, sustainable materials that result in thoughtful designs. Inspired by the Alhambra complex in southern Spain, Kylie understands how both the sequence of spaces and their relation to the surrounding landscape can create the sense of a journey for the people who experience them.

A coastal landscape at sunset, with soft pastel clouds stretching across the sky above a calm ocean horizon, framed by textured rock formations in the foreground. A lively night market scene filled with rows of brightly coloured hanging lanterns in red, yellow, blue, and green, illuminating a crowded street of people browsing stalls beneath a dark sky. A tranquil river scene viewed from inside a canoe, looking toward a dense forest of tall evergreen trees lining the water’s edge, with the turquoise water reflecting the muted light of an overcast sky.
