Tim Blakeway

Tim is a registered architect based in our Hobart office, and holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Newcastle. Since completing his studies, Tim has been a part of and led several commercial, residential, multi-residential, social housing, education and aged care projects in New South Wales and Tasmania.

For Tim, designing is all about problem-solving, exploring possibilities, and embracing the simple rather than the overly complex. He focuses on how architecture responds to people and place, and how it can positively impact the lives of those who interact with designs - an approach that allows his work to highlight and complement often overlooked aspects of a space’s surrounding landscape.

Prior to joining Cumulus, Tim was a project leader at a firm in New South Wales before establishing his own studio.
