Celebrating Five Years of Cumulus in South Australia

This month, our Adelaide Studio turns five. Established in September 2020, the studio has designed and contributed to a number of significant commercial and residential South Australian projects, including Ponderosa tourism accommodation at Fleurieu Peninsula, the Granite Island Master Plan, the recently completed Mylor Residence, and a soon to be announced public project at Cape Willoughby, Kangaroo Island.

Congratulations to Studio Lead Jet O'Rourke and Graduate of Architecture Anastasia Mavrides on this milestone, and thank you to all of our wonderful South Australian clients and collaborators.

A collage of photos from the Adelaide studio, featuring Mylor house, characterised by its charred timber facade, and Anastasia standing at the doors of our Adelaide office, large glass arch-top doors with Cumulus logo overlay and timber framing. The collage continues, with glimpses of Cape Willoughby's panelled facade, Jet giving a speech at a SA tourism conference, eave details and Jet's Midcentury house entrance Final collage slide, showcasing Jet featured in a newspaper article titled 'Designs on tourism growth' about Cumulus opening a studio in Adelaide, and a render of one of the Ponderosa pods, characterised by dark vertical timber panelling on a central volume, pierced by a large concrete tube laying horizontally, with windows and glazed doors at either end.
