Claremont shortlisted in the 2026 AIA Tasmanian Chapter Awards

We are proud to share that Claremont has been shortlisted in the Heritage category of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) 2026 Tasmanian Chapter Awards.

Our renovation of Claremont, an 1843 heritage-listed home in East Launceston, was centred on revealing its original workmanship rather than replacing it. One of Australia's oldest examples of the pisé building technique, material conservation guided every decision. The long-abandoned original verandah was reimagined as living, dining and kitchen spaces, drawing the bedrooms back toward light, garden and street.

The stories of those who have called Claremont home over the past two centuries live on through its restoration.
