Launceston Airport Departures Hall expansion underway

Construction has begun on a $12 million expansion of Launceston Airport's Departures Hall, the second stage of our staged masterplan for the airport's renewal.

The expansion adds 600 square metres to the existing gate area, a new boarding gate, and a full refurbishment of gates three and four. Three amenity blocks will be renewed and three new venues added, increasing leisure space for travelling passengers. The project is co-funded by the airport, airline partners and the Tasmanian government.

The masterplan follows the completion of our Check-In Hall in 2023, with an Arrivals Hall still to come.
