#Balance The Scales

Today we celebrate the women of Cumulus Studio.

Across our teams and at every stage of their careers, they shape our ideas, our projects, and our culture.

This year’s UN International Women’s Day theme, hashtag#BalanceTheScales, reminds us that equality is not automatic. It requires awareness, intention and collective action.

We asked our studio colleagues, women and men, to share what balancing the scales means to them. Their responses highlight a shared commitment to supporting, empowering, and valuing women's contributions, fostering leadership, and building a culture where everyone can thrive.

HR / Internal Comms Training Manager Kim Sheridan stands against a dark brick wall in a laneway, wearing a rust-coloured blazer and white shirt. A quote reads “I will give guidance, trust and transparent pathways that create space for diverse voices to shape our culture, develop strong women in leadership, and build a sustainable future for our Studio, because when women thrive, we all rise" Experienced Architect Keen Tham stands in a brick laneway wearing a black high-neck top. A quote beside her reads “I will give acceptance and equitable trust to women to create a profession where ambition and life are equally valued, supported and respected.” Senior Architect Janis Levieux stands smiling against a painted brick wall with street art, wearing a light brown shirt and gold earrings. Her statement reads “I will give women encouragement to speak with clarity and confidence, ensuring their opinions are heard and valued equally.”
