Macquarie Point Stadium Precinct Master Plan released

The Tasmanian government has released the masterplan for the precinct surrounding the new Macquarie Point Stadium in Hobart. We are working alongside principal design consultants COX Architecture, urban design specialists Realm Studios and Irene Inc, and sustainability specialists Jensen Hughes and SLR Consulting on the project.

The masterplan sets out a mixed-use precinct including commercial, retail and hospitality uses, a zone supporting Antarctic logistics, and approximately 100 dwellings on the north-eastern foreshore. A west-facing zone has been shaped in consultation with the local Indigenous community. A planning scheme update, including public consultation, is expected in the second half of this year.

The stadium is due to open ahead of the 2031 AFL season.
