Georgina Russell

Project Manager | Experienced Architect

B.Arch, M.Arch

Registered Architect TAS #1222

Hobart Studio

Originally from Toowoomba, Georgina completed her studies at the University of Queensland, an institution whose research and theory-based design methodology continue to inform how she considers the built environment. Georgina has worked on a varied portfolio of projects, including the Queensland University of Technology’s Education Precinct, James Cook University’s Innovation Hub, and - more recently - the renovation of her own residence in Nipaluna/Hobart, which was recognised in both the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Tasmanian Architecture Awards and the Houses Awards.

Georgina is interested in a strategic approach to design, grounded in research and an understanding of place. She relishes the opportunity to challenge convention and think critically about how we might occupy rooms, buildings, streets and cities. Georgina has a strong interest in the architectural profession, and is a member of the AIA’s National Committee for Gender Equity and the Tasmanian Practice Committee.
