Melbourne Studio

Ned holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Built Environments from the University of Tasmania, and is currently completing his Master of Architecture at The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Since joining us in 2021, he’s worked alongside our designers and architects on several small and large-scale projects, such as the Devil’s Corner’s Cellar Door expansion, Ponderosa’s accommodation pods in South Australia, and the Macquarie Point Master Plan. He currently focuses on creating project renders and visualisations for our studio.

For Ned, architecture is the perfect blend of collaboration, research and creativity. His passion for design is complemented by a keen awareness of the built environment’s potential to impact the individual - both positively and negatively.

A stylised studio photograph of Ned wearing a sculptural conjoined lamb mask, created by himself for Dark Mofo 2023’s Blue Rose Ball. The mask features two fused lamb heads with hollowed eye sockets and delicate surface detailing, worn with a black suit and bow tie under dramatic, moody lighting. Materials: papier-mâché, cardboard, acrylic paint, resin, felt, horse hair. Inspired by Laura Gilpin’s poem “The Two-Headed Calf.” A candid photograph of Ned's dogs laying together at the top of a staircase. The black dog, Messi, lies partially underneath the other dog, Melon, whose is hugging up in a playful and affectionate moment.
A portrait of Ned Daniels standing against a textured concrete wall, arms crossed and smiling calmly while looking at the camera. He wears a short-sleeved olive-green button-up linen shirt, his dark brown hair parted neatly to the side.
